To tell Norton AntiSpam that you want to receive email from a given address, add it to the Allowed list. If you did not import your email address book to your Allowed list during installation, you can import some or all of the addresses at any time after installation. You can also add names to the Allowed list individually.
To import your existing address book
- Open Norton AntiSpam:
•
In the stand-alone version: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
AntiSpam > Norton AntiSpam.

If Norton AntiSpam is part of Norton Internet Security: On the
Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
Internet Security > Norton Internet Security. Once Norton Internet
Security starts, click Norton AntiSpam on the left side of
the window.
- Click Allowed List > Configure.
- In the Allowed List window, click Import Address Book.
If Norton AntiSpam does not detect an address book to import, then
read the document Norton AntiSpam does not detect address book
to import.
- In the Import Address Book window, uncheck any addresses that
you do not want to add to your Allowed list.
- Click OK, and then click OK again to close the Allowed List
window.
To add or remove email address and domains to the Allowed list or Blocked list follow the instructions in the section below that applies to your version of Norton AntiSpam or Norton Internet Security.
Norton AntiSpam or Norton Internet Security 2005 and 2006
To add an email address to the Allowed list
- Open Norton AntiSpam:
•
In the stand-alone version: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
AntiSpam > Norton AntiSpam.

If Norton AntiSpam is part of Norton Internet Security: On the
Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton Internet
Security > Norton Internet Security. Once Norton Internet
Security starts, click Norton AntiSpam on the left side of
the window.
- Click Allowed List > Configure.
- In the Allowed List window, click Add.
- If you want to add an e-mail address to the allowed list,
select Email in the Address Type drop-down menu. Alternately,
if you want
to add an entire domain to the allowed list, select Domain
in the Address Type drop-down menu.
- Enter the required information in the Address (required)
text box.
• If you are adding an e-mail address, enter the address in the format:
user@domain.com
• If you are adding a domain, enter the domain in the format: @domain.com
- Click OK to close the Add Address to Allowed List dialog
box.
- Click OK to close the Allowed List window.
When you know that you do not want to receive any email messages
from a specific address, you can add it to the Blocked list. Norton
AntiSpam will mark all email messages from this address as spam.
To add an email to the Blocked list
- Open Norton AntiSpam:
•
In the Standalone version: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
AntiSpam > Norton AntiSpam.

If Norton AntiSpam is part of Norton Internet Security: On the
Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton Internet
Security > Norton Internet Security. Once Norton Internet
Security starts, click Norton AntiSpam on the left side of
the window.
- Click Blocked List > Configure.
- In the Blocked List window, click Add.
- If you want to add an e-mail address to the Blocked list,
select Email in the Address Type drop-down menu. Alternately,
if you want
to add an entire domain to the Blocked list, select Domain
in the Address Type drop-down menu.
- Enter the required information in the Address (required)
text box.
• If you are adding an e-mail address, enter the address in the format:
user@domain.com
• If you are adding a domain, enter the domain in the format: @domain.com
- Click OK to close the Add Address to Blocked List dialog
box.
- Click OK to close the Blocked List window.
Norton AntiSpam or Norton Internet Security 2004 and earlier
To add an email address to the Allowed list
- Open Norton AntiSpam:
•
In the Standalone version: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
AntiSpam > Norton AntiSpam.

If Norton AntiSpam is part of Norton Internet Security: On the
Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton Internet
Security > Norton Internet Security. Once Norton Internet
Security starts, click Norton AntiSpam.
- Click Allowed List > Configure.
- In the Allowed List window, click Add.
- In the Add Address to Allowed List dialog box, type the email
address that you want to allow and, optionally, the first and
last name of the sender.
- Click OK to close the Add Address to Allowed List dialog
box.
- Click OK to close the Allowed List window.
When you know that you do not want to receive any email messages
from a specific address, you can add it to the Blocked list. Norton
AntiSpam will mark all email messages from this address as spam.
To add an email to the Blocked list
- Open Norton AntiSpam:

In the stand-alone version: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton
AntiSpam > Norton AntiSpam.

If Norton AntiSpam is part of Norton Internet Security: On the
Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton Internet
Security > Norton Internet Security. Once Norton Internet
Security starts, click Norton AntiSpam.
- Click Blocked List > Configure.
- In the Blocked List window, click Add.
- In the Add Address to Blocked List dialog box, type the email
address you want to block and, optionally, the first and last
name of the sender.
- Click OK to close the Add Address to Blocked List dialog
box.
- Click OK to close the Blocked List window.
